What is the Alter Summit?

Alter Summit: A European Laboratory

Alter Summit is a European network of social organisations (trade unions, associations, NGOs, collectives) fighting to democratically re-found a social, ecological and feminist Europe and to impose, against the privileges of the banks, rights for all: employment, health, housing, education, culture...

Concretely, the Alter Summit is:

1. A space for discussion and debate on EU policies and social movements in Europe ;
2. A space for collective decisions on actions and activities to oppose these policies ;
3. A space that brings together trade unions and social movements with a common purpose.

Since 2013, this convergence process has been a real social and political laboratory: it has taught us the importance of the European dimension of struggles but at the same time the enormous challenges and difficulties to be faced.
