Towards March 8

To Alter Summit members,

Many of you are probably aware of the women’s strike or the feminist strike of 8 March (14 June in Switzerland). As part of the Alter Summit meeting on 8 and 9 February, representatives from Spain, France, Greece, Norway and Belgium discussed the actions undertaken in their respective countries with a view to 8 March.

Indeed, more and more women no longer accept patriarchal inequalities and violence. In different countries, they are beginning to unite and organize to show that "If women stop, the world stops"!

Alter Summit supports this call for strike and mobilization and joins the fight against sexism. For women’s voices to be finally heard, this strike must make as much noise as possible. Alter Summit therefore encourages all our members who work for a social, ecological and feminist Europe to support the women’s strike!
